The Therapeutic Setting
WHY THE PLACE WHERE WE MEET MATTERS
Why the Setting Is Deliberate
Executive psychotherapy requires a clearly defined therapeutic frame. This includes not only the method and boundaries, but also where the work takes place.
For this reason, sessions do not take place in corporate offices, private boardrooms, or client premises. While such environments may be appropriate for advisory or coaching work, they do not support a rigorous psychotherapeutic process.
In psychotherapy, roles matter. I am responsible for the method, the structure, and the therapeutic container. You enter that space as a client—not as a host.
This clarity is essential for depth, focus, and psychological safety.
In-Person and Online Work
Executive psychotherapy can take place both in-person (Warsaw) and online (Zoom):
In-person sessions are held in my private psychotherapy practice located in a quiet residential district of Warsaw.
The space is intentionally minimal, calm, and free from corporate signals or operational distractions. It is the same setting in which I conduct all psychotherapeutic work — executive and non-executive alike.
This consistency is intentional. It supports continuity, neutrality, and the conditions required for meaningful therapeutic work.
For the initial consultation, meeting in person is recommended whenever possible, as it supports a fuller sense of contact and the establishment of the therapeutic frame.
Online sessions are fully acceptable for both initial consultations and ongoing work when in-person meetings are not feasible due to schedule, geography, or professional constraints.
When working online, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure:
- a private and discreet location
- confidentiality equivalent to an in-person session
- uninterrupted time for the duration of the session
These conditions are essential to preserve the integrity of the therapeutic process, regardless of format.
On Stepping Out of Role
For many senior leaders, entering a non-corporate setting can feel unfamiliar at first.
This reaction is natural.
In practice, it often becomes part of the work itself: stepping out of hierarchy, performance, and decision-making roles—and into a space where attention is directed inward rather than outward.
Psychotherapy does not aim to replicate executive environments. It creates the conditions in which deeper psychological processes can emerge.

A Final Note
The setting is not a logistical detail. It is part of the method. It exists to support focus, responsibility, and psychological depth.
During session hours I am not available by phone. If I do not answer, I am likely working with a client. The most reliable way to schedule an initial consultation is by using the booking options available on this website.
Beginning an Engagement
Start with a private consultation (50 minutes) to clarify context, boundaries, and fit, then decide whether to continue.
